Hi
Please could somebody tell me how much a 2 litre engine would cost me, and I know you need to change the exhuast system as well, but what else is needed and what would be the total finished cost.
Oh and where do you get all the stuff from?
Thanks

Breakers usually have all the stuff,
You need
Engine (naturally)
Gearbox
drive shafts
hubs
Mounts
Wiring loom
Zorst
ECU
CV's
Maybe bigger/better brakes (recommended)
thinkd thats bout it but add anything if i have forgotten anything.

£2500 for a Redtop, naahhhhhhh!!!!
Lee Mitchell provides a superb service and he knows his buscuits AS said, £1500-£1600 fitted. Look at my website for pictures of his work (My car D4MO B).
Im sure Lee can sort out some better brakes if need be.
In total though, basic brake upgrade, ur looking at under £2k easy!!
A C20LET is a completly different ball game though. Thats a £4k conversion!!!!! Engine and gearbox alone costs nearly as much as buying andfitting a whole 2.0 16v!!

i just fitted 2l brakes today, in total it cost me 25 for discs, calipers and pads were 40 then i spent about 25 quid on new seals and sliding pin runners. so i have a completely brand new set of 2l brakes less than a ton. only took me an hour to fit and bleed.

you take you car too lee, give him 1500 quid and drive it out a few days later with a fully working 2l lump in it. all you have to do then is put 2l brakes and 2l front springs on, but best to do that first really.
