ah! 185 bhp is good then on hydraulics... I'm guessing it has high comp pistons?

any idea what cams it has?

My mate has TB's, Cat cam 809's, high comps and is running 185-189 bhp. and makes peak power under 7800 rpm (so could run on hydraulics)

hes still on hydraulic lifters, he didnt want to go to the extreeme with the engine as he wants it to be reasonably reliable

Should've got a engine from longmans / QEP tho for hot hatch competition...

Few of the guys recently have come out with 200-210 bhp :! :!

Throttle bodied lump circa 185bhp
Straight cut close ratio box with lsd
Leda coilovers
Stripped bare 640kg or something.. needs to be ballasted when racing iirc

plus the usual stuff you would expect

Keep Corsa or buy something worthy of making into a track car rather than a Cav in drag.

Just going to be another money pit that makes the monkey angry

george by any chance ???

why not either sell the rx7, or put it in your b you have

should bring the corsa to the rr day on sat :P

A friend of mine will be buying a new car soon, and has offered me his calibra which has a rebuilt c20xe in it, he has also offered to sell it with a blydenstien head, and all the bits to bolt up a pair of delloretto twin 45's, all for a very cheap price. £1200

I was thinking of buying the lot, flogging my 1.6, buying a cheap corsa and throwing the lot together, and generally turning the car into a track car with the usual stripping cage etc etc etc..

worth doing if i spent some time and money on the suspension? My RX7 wont be ready to see a track for a long time so this maybe a good stop gap..

Thoughts, comments, advise all welcome
