WTF? :| was it a Novice day or something? everyone was crawling around the track in that ...
I watched the whole of that video, waiting for you to start gunning it but you never did. Although the engine note is misleading I'm sure... sounds like it's off cam most of the time, pootling along in 4th or 5th. Only really seemed to go for it at all after about 8:30 when the blue porsche goes past...
Could just be how stable the car is and how the engine note sounds being mis leading though... And the fact you probably don't want to knacker the car out, you're just learning the track

mishap was just stupidity on my part, and a bit of bad luck.
The battery is always secured, and will be insulated more so now we have a proper box.

Looks like a good day, mishaps aside. Probably better to find that stuff out when you're not competing eh.

We were booked on full day open pit session at Donington.
We drove down  picking the Skyline up from 'The Garage' en route. 450 miles down, same back :O
Loved the track, and was good to give Fee a feel for it before the TimeAttck first round. She went out with an instructor and Dave Wilkins (GTROC) for some pointers.
No major issues to report on track. Boost pipe blew off, I tried to over rev the car :S and we were then booted off the track at 4pm after out 3rd noise warning. We'd been short shifting all morning, and were gradually building up the pace/revs..... two 101dB strikes and a final 104.5dB Whoopsi. Our bung didnt fit, but it did a good job for the white Bruce Taxis evo :D Luckily we were thinking of heading home anyway :)
We didnt do any full on laps due to the noise/revs and towards the end the tyres were starting to go off, getting a bit of understeer in certain corners.
some pics and vids

Vids were taken fairly early on..... Fee says excuse her squeeky vioce throughout them.
The drive down wasnt as bad as we expected, but the return journey was exiting. In car fire in Dundee  Police and Fire Brigade were along to help. Luckily I had it under control with the extinguisher in the car and a trusty hammer :D
No major damage... yet. My hands are a bit burnt, the transmission tunnel is dented to buggery from my hammering, the EDFC rear wires are wrecked, and we'll need new battery cables.
What happened : The skyline battery was dead, and not charging.... causing the car to continually stutter and cut out whilst driving. We changed battery from the 911 but it was too big for the skyline battery cage. The battery was sitting in the back, I had to brake hardish, the battery slid forward and the +ve terminal hit the cage. The car cut out mid roundabout, the earth cable went up in flames, the +ve terminal welded itself to the cage.... D'oh
I had to cut the earth using a hammer (10mm cable) and put the fire out. Hopefully the TSC and gyro/g-sensor thingy nearby my hammering are OK.
With a bit of remedial work the car started again, and made it home.
