the normal ones are filled with acid, which smells, and isnt very good for your lungs..... i assume?

yes i know, but because i dont know the purpose of why the normal batterys have a breather i asked :P

first plan seems spt on, to you need some form of breather foor these battreys, or is that only the "normal" 12v ones when there in a box

people only seem to sell the ally bracket ones, no enclosed ones,

your initial plan seems fair enough can get some small racket straps now tho

get a small rachet strap and strap the battery thru the floor to the box, dont they make red top 15 trays?

I have an Alu tray for the current battery, but will be getting rid of that as this battery needs to be in a box for TimeAttack regs :/

I have an aluminium home-made strap with some rubber sheet to keep it all still, worked a treat so far!

and foam to 'fill' the box, as its a side mount red top 30 box hahah

I'll see what i can get in B&Q tomorrow morning

new battery and shit arrived...





any suggestions on securing the battery in the box and the box to the floor?

I was thinking drilling two holes in the base of the box and using a securing strip of sorts tight over the battery and then bolted through the box and car floor.... plated of course
