i was told MOT'ers can do it but wasn't to confident with the advise.

A mate of mine got his MK2 Astra tested at cadwell and he said that his is 102DB. I'd hate to know what mine is now because it is a hell of a lot louder than his

so do they not static test you?? only the mic on the start/finish?

Donington have a mic on the start finish straight, it is possible to lift slightly or short shift, bit they have become wary to this. The local busy boddy is a councellor IIRC so they have to be strict on noise, so if they notice that you are lifting or short shifting they will black flag u anyway.

you will also need to find out how they test the car so you can the same i.e. stood at the back of the car or at a et distance on a tripod etc

i got black flagged on donny for being over the noise limit told me to come off and sort it out, one of the guys just said short shift through druids the chicane before the start/finish straight, then you wont be on full rpm when they do the drive by noise test ;)

If theres any places up near you that build competition exhausts they should be able to noise test it for you :)

I'm interested in a Donnington trackday BUT the noise limit is 98db :/

Our car isnt very loud, but it's not exactly quiet. R32 GTR running 400bhp
Where can i test this before commiting?!
