I've been discussing it with him this weekend
He was onto the MLR (mitsibushi lancer register) And they tell him the BEE-R rev limiter will kill the turbo, whereas anti-lag won't
I've tried telling him.
He has half of the SAS system left, the pipes going onto the manifold are blocked off due to the tubular manifold,
So Gareth is there any more info on what 'racing line' do with the SAS?
http://www.tracktive.co.uk/content.php?page=131 is what he was thinking of getting

You need to get a turbo with a marlam shaft otherwise it will kill the turbo.
An any marlam shaft turbo is big big money.
you can not just run anti lag on any turbo remember this, its more than the software.
I have the Go-Tech Pro which has Anti lag aswell as running GT3071R's an i WILL NOT be running antilag as it will kill the turbo.......

The guys i know with autronics just switch it on for a brief period so its just for the sound really although i assume it would be a benefit on the quarter mile.

As said, it'll soon kill off turbos so be preppared for regular (expensive) rebuilds, what turbo is he planning on running ??
Anti-lag pretty much keeps the turbo spinning all the time (even when off throttle) so doesn't give it any time to cool down ... thats what wrecks them.

His best bet is to sell the d-jet and put the cash towards autronic or push the boat out and get the daddy motec m800.
Went in a convoy from derby to a mlr rolling road day was following some VIs with autronics that kept switching the anti lag on it sounded awsome

Is that the secondary air system on the side of the rocker cover?
if it is thats been removed,
if not, can you explain this please :)
Yes m8 its the pipes that go to the manifold i think.

why does he want it? If its a serious track/rally build OK... but if its going to sit in a McD's car park you may as well buy a Bee-R revlimiter. Set that to low and it cuts ignition. Frequency, RPM, flame size etc is all pretty adjustable.
Can be used as two step launch control too when wired for example to the handbrake switch.
EG. 1st step (rev limit) at 4k rpm. Foot the the floor it wont rev above that, but will hold. Once you switch it off (put handbrake down or any other switch, the revs will rise to the 2nd rev limit.
No its not going to be a maccy d's relic
It's being built to serious spec, he's already built a 3.0 v6 306, an eccosse 206, and he also has a corsa 1600 with mild tuning
Upon research last night his d-jet ecu can be equipped with the circutry from apexi to run anti-lag, expensive though at £1400 + vat
He's just looking for other options at the moment, and he doesnt like the idea of going for a cheapo version that will wreck the car

anti lag can seriously kncaker your turbo quiclkly
it works by sending unburnt fuel into the exhaust manifold and igniting it, this keeps the turbo spinning, it will wreck both your exhaust manifold, cat if you have one, and your turbo

Yeah, I said that to my mate that an Autronic ECU would be the way forwad as then he can have these features added and removed whenever he wishes,
But he has just forked out for this d-jet ecu, so he is reluctant

motorsport developements do a board you can add to some of the yb ecu to run antilag, m sure you can do the same with evos as well
saying that, autronic is very good, and the ecu has scoope for so much more as well

Wasn't sure weather to post this in here but It may have some relevance to track people and cars
My mate is currently building a big bhp evo4, he already has a fair amount of expensive parts for it,
He is working away at the moment and has given me the task of finding out all I can about anti-lag
He knows he wants it, But he's wanting some prices and spec to compare
All I can find is autronic stuff for £1500
he is running a D-jet (I think) ecu, and I'm not sure on the spec of that either
Any help much appreciated, I know there's folk who can help :)
