id love a c20xe on tb's.
always wanted a car with tb's. plus i'd keep it 4 stud/keep the MO's.
but then it seems a bit strange binning a perfectly good, low mileage engine, and swapping it with a 15ish year old lump.

Makes me wish I'd bought a van instead of my car every time I see pics.

i started off with this:
was a limited edition in black and loads of extras, electric everything etc.
wheels were already on when i got it before people comment on them :o
got sick of it, so sold it and soon after bought a '53' astra van.
started off as a standard astra van
drove it standard for ages as it was just the daily driver/work van.
then last winter while the corsa was in the bodyshop i decided to buy a few bits for it.
first bits were tints, an fk debadged grille and full colourcoding.
then the wheels, 18" cheap rondells from ebay.
tried them on, christ thats high!
so back on with the steelies until my suspension arrived a few days later.
full spax adjustable kit.
60mm front / 40mm rear
also got my smoked headligths and side repeaters from ebay so they went on.
next i wanted to change the rear lights, it was between the opc rears or the fk smoked. i went for the fk's, 130 quid and took aaaaages to arrive.
i also found an early sri bumper with factory irmscher splitter fitted.
new lights
i left it like this for a while as i was really happy with it. then someone was splitting there astra on migweb so i bought their steinmetz grille as there a fortune new. i also bought an lmf armrest
i also bought some wind delfectors, much to some peoples disgust :o
goold old diesel power
by now the back end was pissing me off as the bumper wasnt deep enough and made it look too high, especially with no load.
and also after seeing the opc rear end, i decided to go that route.
finding the parts was proving to be a bit of a bastard, but i finally managed to get hold of ther parts through LMF (rear spoiler, bumper & tailgate trim).
the parts werent cheap though, cost me about 800 for those. the spoiler cost 360 alone!
but i was happy, it made the van different from all the others going about my area.
i also had the tailgate repainted and badge holes smoothed at same time
then i saw some brand new compomotive mo's for sale (old style), so i had to have them.
first i had to get the centres bored out slightly to fit the vaux hub, then i had them painted glacier white.
these were fitted to bring it to its current state
bigger brakes needed?
i have some more things to do to it next year, hid's, seats and gsi bumper are next on the list.
p.s. van is now back on steelies and standard bumpers for winter :|
