Got up to the garage yesterday, and the paint code is y547 flame red. It's probably been repainted at some point though, cos there's no pink anywhere!

Tell me about it. The exhaust would be at home on a calibra dtm, not a corsa! I'm not a fan of the steinmetz mirrors and skirts either, or the astra bonnet vents. Back to standard, maybe with some different wheels.

Good to hear that you're putting it back to standard! Alloys and exhaust are terrible :P

Just down the road from the Audi garage. Was garaged for 3 years as an impending project. Taxed and mot'd, used for 6 months then garaged for the best part of 6 years.

Maybe it'll be for sale towards the end of next year, who knows. It's just a side project that was too cheap to pass up. I've got an impreza WR1 as my daily that isn't cheap to run.

Anybody know of any genuine skirts available? It's going to be a while before I can post in the wanted section.

Yeah no worries. If you can hang on till I get up the garage. Not too many left standard over here either I think.

I've a red 95 gsi genuine too bit rarer over here with only a handful left let alone standerd :)

So me and a friend picked this up on a whim, with the intention of putting in a red top and taking it to pvs in June.

After stripping the interior out and having a good dig around, we've decided that it's too good for that. And seeing that there's less than 100 on the road, we've decided to take it back to standard and just freshen up the lump with a few bits.

She hasn't been on the road since 2008, and always garaged. So the underneath is pretty good, and not a lot of rust for a near 20 year old vauxhall. She's covered the grand total of 79,000 miles, and apart from a fiddly immobiliser starts first time every time. The engines a little tappy, but I'm hoping a good oil change and a service will mostly cure that. I'll keep this thread updated as we go, and hopefully we'll have a little minter ready for June. And I'm sure you'll catch me hanging around the parts section, waiting for some standard skirts to pop up!
