got the old gearbox cleaned , ready mount to the new engine well. came accross a problem tonight with the crankshaft sensor. We bought a new sensor when i got the engine, tried fitting it but it hits the pulley before it sits flush with the mount to screw it in to. so i thought i'd bought the wrong size sensor. took the one of the old engine today, tried to fit it and still have the same problem. for the sensor to sit the correct distance apart from the pulley , it leaves about 3cm from the screwing point so i cant screw it in. any ideas people?
