I currently have a 1996 Corsa Sport 1.4 16v Ecotec. I am thinking about getting another 1.4 16v Ecotec engine to tune up then swap in. However there are a few things I am confused about regarding the Ecotec range of engines.

Are the Ecotec engine's still called XE? as in would my 1.4 16v Ecotec engine be called 14XE or X14XE? I have been looking at SBD's range of products and they mention 14XE and Ecotec as if they are Seperate engines? Also would the 1.6 16v corsa GSI head (red top) fit onto my 1.4 16v ecotec block? I ask as this head is supposedly better flowing in stock form.
