I have fibre board in the 2nd bedroom and it doesn't make much difference tbh :( | |

Fibreboards will be your best bet, cush'n'wood is pretty good as well. | |

We have floor boards in the bedroom which were noisey with carpet fitted when walking in the bedroom and hearing it down stairs | |

You will be hard pushed to silence the laminate Ben, you can reduce it but that's about it. Best thing is simply not to wear shoes or slippers, as simple as it sounds | |

Bad idea surely. Shifts and laminate would be a big no no for me! Imagine the moaning from your missus when she's in bed and you are up then her clopping about annoying you. You would hear every time someone went in the room, even if you were trying to be quiet. | |
