There was a house near to where I used to live which had a coral coloured door - looked pretty good in the flesh: https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@52.2996949,-1.5361658,3a,30y,233.46h,89.96t/data=!3m4!1e1!3m2!1s6aFfgrnO48YTNGhvCDRHbA!2e0

try door-stop to configure and build the door. Nationwide delivery and really good quality.

Cheers Marc. Their online design tool seems to have the same doors/designs as Yale, so i'm guessing they're a dealer for them?

Don't mind supply only as can get Daddy G to fit it.

The brand is called Liniar.

It's from round the corner, you can tell the type of inhabitants a) by the colour of the door and b) by the custom modz applied to their 10 year Vec sitting out front, bearing in mind that empty parking space next to their house is theirs, they just park there to annoy their neighbours and cause obstructions

My house has a black front door - a big 3 layer wooden one with glass panels in it. Every new build round here has them. Some people have painted them grey, or a really nice royal blue, there's also a grey/greeny sort of colour that I really like, struggling to think of something that matches it without going round taking random pictures of neighbours houses, and GMaps isnt up to date round here

Nothing wrong with white upvc doors at all, as long as they are nice and clean and not damaged they can look just as good

From Google Maps mine

Could always go pink if you're taken by it? :o

Yeah I can't see it being a massive job.

He did my bi-fold doors at the back with no problems.

Me and my dad have fitted UPVC windows to his house, my house and we fitted a UPVC back door the other month.

Hammer and chisels, power drill, long drill bits and silicone sealant.

Cheers Pop, will have a look at Solidor.

Only.reason I want black is because the garage door is black and the block paving will be charcoal so will tie everything in.

I feel the current white door looks a little out of place and doesn't seem the sturdiest.

Composite are what Yale sell, which seem pretty decent amd far easier to maintain than wood doors.

We've got a new composite front door on order from a manufacturer called Solidor. We considered one of their modern style doors, but felt a more traditional design suited the house better.

Quite a few houses near us now have black front doors. Like with all things black, they look great when new or clean, but show dirt and age a bit more readily. We've gone for a blue door.

Seems a bit steep for a diy fit door, have you tried local fitters?
Be carefully with fitting doors yourself as it can backfire on you when selling, solicitors check with Building Control if windows and doors have been fitted by FENSA installers.

I've got a door brochure I'll check.

Take a look at Roundbrand.

Although looks like they don't go any further south than Notts.

Black doors seem to be 'the in thing' currently and our upvc white one looks a bit worse for wear, so thought i'd join the in crowd.

I'm guessing yale doors are decent quality? They have an online design tool and the prices don't seem too bad. The one I choose was about £700 delivered with DIY fitting.

Any other places to look? Also any pics of yours would be appreciated. Not sure whether to go ultra modern look or stick with a conservative style.
