18v Makita will be easily up to the job, just get yourself some DECENT drill bits and take your time drilling. When work was paying for the drill and bits we used to burn the 18v clutches out by putting 13mm concrete bits in and using our shoulders as a lever for the drill

can you not make a fold away work bench?

Just get some new concrete/metal bits :)

And a mask. Those prefab garages are made of all sorts.

Cheers for the replies.

No power yet but still happy I've got somewhere I can leave a job halfway through shit the door and come back to it another day.

Might need a beefier drill as my makita 18v jobby isn't a match against the concrete walls.

Work bench wise don't go too big I mad this mistake, just make sure it's sturdy and get a decent sized vice fitted on it.

Try and hang as much stuff up as you can, does it have power inside?

Btw super jealous I wish my garage was that big :(

I would say put the workbench and all stuff down one side so you can get the car down the other and fully work around it. Look on eBay for old kitchens that people are getting rid off. There ideal.

looks bigger than 16"x12"

i'd say it was closer to 16'x12'

Just moved house and along with the house came a garage.

It's a prefab 16' long by 12' wide concrete jobby with up and over door.

Ideally I'd like a work bench somewhere but also enough room so that I can get a car in to work on incase its raining or if I need to store my car or a customers car in there. I also have a tool box and will eventually be getting a roll cab.

Can anyone suggest a layout with storage and my required needs as I don't have a clue how to utilise the space.
