Should of looked into getting composite worktop, get all your units in and get someone out, they measure up then make it then install it. Look great too

Ended up going with Wren after a bit of a change with the design of my kitchen. Thanks for all of your suggestions

You do need one but you don't need to be in the trade, anyone can get one, usually cash accounts.

my dad has used howdens recently.

he is not in the trade, so they either just hand out accounts to anyone or you dont actually need one

Never heard of Wren down here

But i use howdens for units and magnets for worktop. But thats trade stuff. You need an account or access to one for howdens

Probably not round your way but we have Bradfords down this way and they have a massive range of worktops.

Fleming Build Base, there units are the best of the lower cost ones and there worktops are good. Go there not Wren

Your name is Fleming... Any coincidence?

I've never heard of them to be honest

I would assume Fleming is the franchise name of build base who are a national chain I.e. Evans Halshaw Ford etc

Howdens not as good as they used to be.

Howdens are a pain because it's all based on discount so if you don't buy much you are paying way over the odds.

I've got Howden's cupboardsin my new build, they are quite nice actually, sturdy and fit nicely, dog has ripped the laminate off the front of a couple though

I've got a black granite work top from wickes. It's good imo. But it's a bitch to keep it from not looking smeared.

I'm considering splashing out on a new kitchen from Wren. I'm told the quality & finish is very good, the modern designs look nice & the units come per-assembled which is a big plus as I'm planning on fitting it myself (with a bit of help)

One thing I wasn't so impressed with was their choice of worktops. Wondering if anyone could make any recommendations of where to look online? I'm planning on doing the rounds tomorrow to B&Q, Wickes etc to see if I can get any find any inspiration there

Cheers
