If its already installed just remove old box, connect the tv and 2 SAT cables to the back of new box. Then i think a call to sky like you said to link the box with your card.

Right sorry if this is in the wrong section but need abit of help with a sky issue and if anyone here works for them and can help it would be great.

We have a full Sky Hd Package down stairs and also the multiroom option so i can have sky in my bedroom.

The box i have is an old grey one which includes the sky + features.

Ive noticed the last few months that when i record programs using the Sky + function and then play them back its really jumpy and the sound and people are all out of sync. I dont get this when the tv is live and im watching it.

We have done signal tests etc and everything seems fine so im wondering if there is a fault with the box maybe?

Is it possible to ring sky and just buy a new box and install it your self? or will i have to pay a call out fee for someone to come and fit it all etc?

Any help much appriciated
