They only do ID checks, it's not a "proper" credit search as such so no it doesn't affect your credit file in any way.

Just did a credit check on experian and everythings fine bar one missed payment earlier in the year (bloody £7 and a typo caused it :( )
I noticed alot of my searches (there are 12) are for insurance companies at the start of the year when my renewal was due and I tried quite a few companies. Will these searches affect my score much? Got declined for a tesco credit card today which made me go and check
