Current temporary bedroom.

Bed's going to have to go soon though, as the house i've seen won't take it, it's a bit too big to have in the room as well as wardrobes etc.

Some B&W rooms look well, but some look like you're trying to hard, do you not like browns / creams?

yeah there is that side of things, but thats a risky game as it might not fit/work in the new place.

Only want to paint it white to make it a tad brighter in here is all

It looks awesome there but i can imagine it getting covered in fingerprints. I see what your saying if your moving soon, even if you did spunk a load of money on slick furniture there's no saying it will fit in your new place when you move.

We have gone for teal, and will be painting all our furniture glossy white so it reflects light round the room as its a very deep colour so absorbs the light. Will also be putting a nice big mirror up.

Not the greatest pics but you get the idea. If going for a dark colour need to have bits that stand out, weve used the dormer ceiling, radiators and then furniture in white to do it.

Ignore the wardrobe, im in the process of building doors for it :o

Next dark wood sounds good

This is the plum look i was on about but with mirror furniture instead of dark wood, perhaps not if your on a budget though :o

Or if you did want to just stick purely with black and white:

If your on a budget, can't beat Ikea tbh.

Pick an accent colour as it can't just be black/white, would look a bit odd. Go with something bright, baby blue, lime green, hot pink :o or yellow for example.

Don't go OTT with the accent colour though, just the odd cushion or picture frame. Gloss is in but is expensive and attracts dust, perhaps 'NEXT' style dark wood with plumb...or is that too feminine

do everything white, and only wear white when you go in except for reflective aviators

Possibly re-decorating my room.

Its currently Red with black cornicing and doors. I can't be arsed to re do everything but its to dark in here and starting to look tatty as i decorated it in 2004.

So want to paint the walls and ceiling white, at the moment i have a sort of Birch coloured furniture but that is all changing.
So i don't know exactly what colour furniture goes with it??
I don't really want black furniture as it always chips and looks cheap as well as attracting dust.

Ideas please :)
