quote: This is an option, just need some protective gear, a few mates and a trailer Could also look into getting a new roof fitted on the cheap (through a friend of a friend) But I'm getting professional quotes in writing to take back to the estate agent to haggle down the price (hoping to meet half way) At the end of the day, the property has been on the market for 12 months which puts me in a strong position

Depending on the interest the owner could just pull the sale that's what you should be worried about. At the end of the day you have forked out £600 for the survey. Could try for a cheeky £300 off I guess.

I wouldn't worry for that. That's a clean survey ;)

Knock £450 off the price of the house. If the guy wants to lose the sale of his house for the sake of £450 then so be it.

Depends how much you want the house... if you don't mind some conflict, ask them to knock the £550 off the price of the house... if you want things to move swiftly and don't mind paying for it, then just proceed.

thats cheap to get asbestos removed, although it would depend on the size and how many people were to strip it.
