Folks have a storage warm-air central heating system - it does the job at keeping the house at a reasonable temperature. Although it isn't that quick from switching the storage heater on til hot air being pumped out around the house (takes ~20/30mins).

i have just electric heating, my house had that warm air crap and ive bricked up all the holes and ripped out the heating system, i use panal heaters on the wall and to be honest its not that dear we pay 85quid a month on 3-bedroom house which works out about same as gas/leccy seperate most people must be paying 40quid for both surely on similar property, not not really as bad as peeps are makin out my house is proof of that

Hes talking about warm air heating not storage heaters. Warm air is pants, quite a dry heat and doesnt really heat the whole room. Would factor that into the price perhaps knock 5k off for central heating system?

i had elec storage heaters in my last house, came on during the night and you had flaps that you could close over to store the heat and open up in the morning, bills were about £60 a month and that was including all other elec in the house, guess it depends on the type of heater,

If storage heaters stay the fook away, run a mile, they are god awful. I dont really have any personal experience with panel heaters or leccy heating, but it will be more expensive to run than an equvalent gas system (something like, it takes the same amount of kWh to heat 1l of water to a certain temperature, whether its gas or lec, but lec costs 4x/5x more per kWh than gas)
