[/quote] done a lot of tests regarding this.... bought an electric fire that throws the heat down and out, starts to rise about 3 foot from the TV ran it for an hour with a thermomitor next to TV and temp does not increase more then the temp of the room, the mantel sticks out further then the TV too to help difuse heat also, electric fire so not much (or any I can see) haze :) [/quote]
