Think I heard that only 36,000 people were accepted for mortgages last month.
Shocking really when you consider the amount of people within the UK. Estate Agents must be fucked a the minute?

Yep mortgage refusals are up 70% on the previous year. Apparently its going to remain so until 2011 - something I read said anyway! :look:

the reason so little is moving just now is down to the banks not approving mortgages.

Heard a few cases where they wont lend to reputabke companies with more than enough colateral. Want missives etc signed before lending money

banks are being very short sighted and stupid IMHO

things will have to start moving again soon or the country will go into melt down

Houses are still 11% higher than Summer 2006... Despite dropping 6-9% recently.

Will be looking to buy come May onwards 2009. Will house prices still be around what they are now, as surely they cant fall by much more? Also are these incentive schemes going to carry on like deposits paid, huge discounts on new properties etc?
