The buildings look great however if that were my kitchen in a £700K property I'd be a little miffed | |

My brother works for a firm called Bisca which make bespoke staircases, stainless steel, glass etc. His bosses have branched out in to property development and have bought Kirkdale Manor. The stables have been converted in to houses and the mansion has been made in to apartments. All the work has been done by Polish builders, obviously! Who appear to be working 7 days a week! My brother bought one of the houses late last year. Yesterday he took me round the converted mansion and to say its mind blowing is an understatement. Each room is huge with 2 bathrooms, toilet rooms etc in each. One of the apartments has a basement which we went down. It wasn't clear what most of the basement was used for back in its day but it had a safe which must have been 1m wide 2m long and about 1.5m in height, it had a solid steel door which takes all your strength to open! This apartment had a very long corridor with the rooms coming off it. |
