worcester bosch - we had ours around 2 or 3 years and the PCB went the other week. (printed circuit board) is that common.? luckily we got a new one for around £95.

My Ideal boiler was installed before we moved in here, so before May 05 and nothing has gone wrong with it yet :)

Ideal are rubish, we fitted 2 Ideal I-store unvented systems and they both needed backup assistance from Ideal, the pump was seized one one and the PCB board had failed on the other

Large house builders only use Idea because they get a bigger rebate on them....fact!

We've used either Glow-worm and Ideal in most of the properties we have built and have never had a single problem with any of them.

I reccomend Vaillant, fitted them everyday for the last 17 weeks :! only 2 of them had faults and they were sorted under warrenty

glowworm ay bad, tops for reliabilty would probably be vaillant or worcester bosch. theyr alll pretty efficient now as its illegal to fit anythin that isnt. bear in mind u can have the most efficient boiler in the world but it will waste energy if the system as a whole isnt designed/used properly. ;)

I've just had one installed to replace my back bolier. My plumber always uses decent materials. Its only been in for 2 days but seems really good!

apparently they are very efficient as well (not necessairly the glow worm ones, but combi's together)

It's what our Plumber/gas fitter friend has recommended but I know nothing about boilers! Always worth checking
