Mav,

You've not said, but dont use a tiny brush to do cutting in....3" minimum is better

I dont mind it, i can 2 coat an avarage height 3mx2.5m room in about 3-4 hours including drying time.

get yourself some monarch elite purdy brushes and for cutting in i use a 3" brush with a small 1/2" brush for skinny areas.

Cutting in is going round the roof and skirting boards when you paint walls. It's a pain in the ass.

i thught id be smart and mask everything in my room, a fecking huge attick room with a weird shape took me hours but i was all happy that i prepared the room for painting properrly.... after i finished putting two coats on i tried to remove the tape and nearly every fucking piece pulled some paint off with it.....i could have killed my self

god I hate it too
and we decided to put up a dado rail in the living room...which meant we had twice as much cutting in to do

Ally

I hate it with a passion, only taped up one room but ended up with a brush and a wet cloth when i did all the other rooms

Still got to tidy up the coving in the master bedroom and i know this sounds bad but i really really cant be arsed

taping up is so much easier, especially if your having to do a few coats.

i feel the same mate, its probably the worst job in the world to do. People who know me tend to stay clear of me when i've been cutting in coz i get very very angry. Even thinkin about it is getting me wound up!
