you can apply for one and in the mean time get a bridging loan from the uni, or a hardship loan/grant, if you apply now itll take about 1-2moinths for the money to come thru from student loans people, and you will need to chase them up every other day

or go and see your finance department at uni,
i think you can apply still but dont know how long it will take for you to recieve it.
i got my student loan today :D
im rich for a week :D

If it helps I got mine through on Weds after applying just before Xmas. Ring the SLC (0800 405010) and ask them to send a form thing :)

Yes mate you can. I had to do it last academic year. Didn't get the first payment but i got the other two.

best thing to do is get in contact with your LEA. ( Local Education Authority )

if u dont know who they are, try the town hall or you uni / college.

if not then try this site might help
