Thats cool, its quite a gradual curve so should be ok, so as long as i take my time and allow for some error, i should get a pretty good finish with the jig saw. its mdf anyway so is quite easy to sand down, plus im carpeting it, thanks alot guys :thumbs:

curves or straight lines

depending on how good you are with it, you can get a pretty good finish

dont try to turn too tight corners with it thou

Okay, so ive totally got the wrong idea of what these tools do!!! Can a jigsaw cut curves or only straight lines?

you wont be able to control the router without a template :)

jigsaw to make a template, then sand the template up and use the router :thumbs:

jigsaw :) use router to shape up edge you have cut with jigsaw

What tool would i use to cut curves out of mdf, a router or a jigsaw? Want to make a custom parcel shelf and need to cut a large semi circle into it.
