On an AC circuit, other than the live side not being switched, it'll work the exact same way.

Comments about it affecting the LED's are completely incorrect. This applies to a LED in a DC circuit.

The black on the left cable should be going to blue on his drawing

it all works fine as it is though. Just swapped the bulbs for one i know are working.

if the bulbs blow quicker than expected i may look into changing the wiring

How can you wire the LED lamp backwards on an AC circuit?

Might have a detrimental effect on the led lamps wired backwards or they might accept it both ways.

All you have got wrong is the red on the lamp should be to the right hand black as that is your switch live. The blue should be to the two blacks as thats your neutral common. Left hand wire is the feed in, top is to another light circuit the right takes a common live through the switch and turns the lamp on. Thats how i see it anyway.

no the yellow thing is the lights

Rob_Quads

Oh - I presumed those were the 3 lights

Then yes it probably is right. The left hand two cables will be the power loop and the right hand one will go down to the switch

IvIarkgraham

thats the 3 feeds of wires

I wouldn't know if its wired correctly or not from your diagram. What are the three grey boxes?

John

If it's working it's probably wired right.

Red and black won't just be live and neutral, there will massive bundles everywhere in the ceiling.

love how people are saying its wired wrong but are not willing to show how its should be

I have just changed my bathroom light from a ingle bulb to one with 3 GU10 leds.

I have wired it up as i think it was but when you switch it on only 1 bulb comes on instantly and the other 2 come on after a second but are very dull.

any ideas? i'll draw out what ive got connected where now
