Moved in Dec and paid nothing until Feb then double Feb & March before carrying on as normal from April.

As stated above pay 12 months over 10 having Feb and Mar off normally unless its first time then dependant how they choose to work out payments.

Yep, simply stating it's not free.

Which is the point being made and reiterated...

It isn't 2 months free though, you just pay a bit more over 10 months, which is what I do.

You'll need to speak to them, they won't allow me to set up a DD until March so I have had to pay 3 months in 1 lump payment. Yours may or may not be different, I'd imagine that would be entirely Council dependant.

I've always been puzzled by the whole 2 months free thing as well, I assume you didn't used to have the 12 month option?

Won't work that way with the 10 months. They aren't free months, you just pay for 12 over 10 (my one allows you to do it over 12).

You'll just pay more until the start of the next year.

yes - land registry update the council

they will send a letter to the address asking you to call them with the reference

They will then send you another letter detailing payments that are required

You are likley only to be liable for part of January as feb and march are free months normally as its broken down by 10 monthly payments

Also if you have moved in by yourself advise them of that as you get 25% discount for single occupancy
