Secondary glazing. You can get fixed systems that are in there all the time, you can still open them though by sliding or whatever. Other option is perspex/acrylic sheets magnetically fixed to the frames (i have these), work pretty well actually, just make sure you get decent magnetic strips and heat resistant glue. Looking at about £50-£100 per window for magnetic, around £200ish per window on fixed but don't quote me on the latter. | |

My main bedroom is pretty much opposite a main road and all I hear all night is traffic. Anyway I can block out noise? |
