I would put it through the wall. My parents have theirs through the wall and its fine. They made a hole through the wall, plastered/painted it and then screwed the flap on the outside. | |

I assume the conservatory is single skin. Easier to pop a few bricks back in than sort out a proper cavity wall. | |

cats live for 15+ years though usually so the likelyhood of it being removed is slim. | |

Myself and other half just bought a new house, it's a new build with french doors leading to the garden. |
