Generally you wont be able to knock down walls the lease will say that freeholder will be responsible for everything past the first skin of plaster and from above the joists in which case you wont be permited to start making structural alterations.

I like the smell of piss in the morning.

Looks like an oldie lived there - bet it stinks of piss.

If you're effectly buying the freehold (but on a stupidly long leasehold) like mine then wont have a problem changing things round inside as long as they arent structural.

It doesn't say.

This is the place:

I particularly like the decor and the handrails in the bathroom

Depends on the sort of lease it is.

Mine is on something like a 200yr lease, and I can do whatever I want inside as long as it isnt structural.

I know you have to pay ground rent but are you limited to what you can do with a leasehold property.

E.g. Could I still knock down a wall if I wanted?
