He basicly needs to get rid of the high spots and pva it.....smooth ceilings are the best by far. | |

It may be his trade but check - I've seen loads of qualified/experienced plasterers make a right fuck up | |

you cant simply skim over artex; make sure that he will prep the surface properly otherwise a couple of months down the line it'll crack and fall off. | |

i thought so. The guy lives next door to my mum so he has given me a good price - i.e knocked money off but I think its very cheap considering the amount of rooms | |

well the ceiling is artexted (Sp) so its making it smooth ready for painting as I'm having downlighters | |

That is excellent. guessing that is just a skim over the existing ceilings? even so is a very good price, any plastering work (unless you know them) is not cheap.... | |
