Its a new build flat, all the cabling is in, theres a double socket in every room!
Can't be much more than connecting 2 wires to give me a number. I think they're just pulling my pants down and there not a great deal I can do about it....

If theres no phone line in the house already then it will take a lot longer than 2 minutes to fit a phone line. If your house is fed by a pole then your looking at bout an hour to an hour and a half depending on cetain bits and pieces. BT charge rediculous prices but unfortunately thats the prices they charge, its almost as much again if you want one extension.....oh and we're not all monkeys!!!!

So I'm moving into a new build flat next week, BT want £124 to connect a phone line, can't get NTL as its a BT only area. Are they taking the piss? Its a 2 minute job for a monkey with a punch down tool right?

Does anyone know a way round this or am I just going to havr to cough up? :boggle:
