they will grow fast from that size, upto about 6-7" within a year. By the time they get to 2" (not long at all) they will be able to catch and eat most other fish. | |

OK. The pirahna themselves are very small, neon tetra size at the moment. | |

if the Piranha are fairly small then yeah, they could stay in there a while BUT they will eventually start nipping at the other fish, and after a few months of growth they'll soon be attacking and eating whatever is in there with then. | |

The tank is a Rio 180, with plenty of cover for little fish and shy ones. | |

What size tank is it? Also what size are the Piranha and current fish? | |

I have a tank at the moment with a few fish in there. The biggest being a Cichilid and a Silver shark. |
