Heskey. Obviously.

Crouch is one of the most skillfull players in the PL. Pitching stuff up to his head is a masive waste of time and talent.

Not interested in Grant Holt either. Lump of a target man. We're losing 1-0 to France with 10 mins left. You going to bring on Holt or Defoe/Crouch?

i dont think hes even scored that many goals with his head, yet that appears to be what hes thought of as being

Crouch is typecast as a target man when he is much more than that. A goal every 2 games in an England shirt is good going for someone used so sparingly.

I dont find peter crouch or grant holt particularly inspiring tbh, but there comes a point where you cant argue with the stats, and you start to wonder what he would be like if he was surrounded by an even better service

but he is getting on a bit at 31 years old now

I knew who the author of this thread was going to be as soon as I saw the title

I think he should make the squad but I'd still have Defoe ahead of him

Must have just caught the weekend's MOTD :o

Peter Crouch would be in every 1 of my England squads personally, his record speaks for itself at International level.

Do you think they will pay more attention to him than we do?

Well he cant play the inside forward role because it isnt his position and England like to have pace out there. We have Rooney for the central striker position. He wouldnt fit in with how we play, same way crouch doesnt anymore.

I'd be putting him in the squad. Not got anyone like him up front have we? Crouch would be the closest comparison

Where would he play in Englands 433/451 formation?

Marc

Can't be any worse than the rest. I'd try him in a friendly before putting him on the plane

Only one other higher scoring Englishman in prem being Rooney

Yes or no.
