Would love somebody to buy the club with their heart in it.

Although it would be awesome to get some Billionaire Arab to wipe the debt. The players they would buy would attract all the wrong attention. Then have the United fans saying how we bought the premiership like Chelsea / City :o etc etc...

Have you got that kind of money spare atm Cosmo???

The one good thing with hicks wanting so much is that it won't be attractive to investors looking to make a fastbuck. It'll only be long term investors who could make some money really, which normally means they look to run the club properly.

I'm pretty disheartened even at the thought of someone else coming in tbh. We might get a billionaire who puts loads of money in and then loses interest leaving us in a similar hole, we might also get someone who is just as shifty as these two who's gonna load the club with debt. The only way i'd be happy is fan ownership but that's never going to happen unless lots of shit hit's fans.

I've a feeling it's just the way he is trying to negotiate. He did th same with his baseball team saying they were worth $1bn but ended up getting about half that.

I can't beleive hicks has come out with another press release that is as full of shit as the others. Just fuck off and stop trying to make a mint out of something you've already bled dry.

Of course it wouldn't as they are assets of the club and thus the value would be written down. Unless the cash was kept in the club in which case it could be worth more.

wonder if it will still be 600m when gerrard and torres leave after the WC

Tbh, although the £600m figure is ridiculous, they have improved the commercial side of the club a hell of a lot since they bought it.

As Cosmo will tell you Nathenial, Liverpool always sell for a profit :o

I'm surprised you've even questioned it Nath. It's Liverpool. They are all about buying someone/something, and then claiming it's worth (or been sold for) 10x the starting figure.

 Jokers.

Bought the club for £200m ish, did nothing to it in terms of improvement, stadium etc..., but now it's worth 3-4 times more :boggle:
