The more I think of it the more I can only see this making the league a complete joke.

I dont agree with playing somewhere as it is, but thats not the main thing I disagree with, I just dont see how the league can be fair anymore when you will play some teams 3 times. Those 3pts could be a huge advantage in winning the league, or gaining a CL place....or going down!!

Think of the money they will rake in for the big teams playing in Asia though

Gotta love the FA sometimes, bunch of idiots.

Exactly.

Top players already play something like 60+ games on average a season, if not more, and thats without the Internation comps (if we ever make them!).

Makes the league unfair for starters...what if it comes down to one of these 'new' 10 games and Arsenal got a tougher team and United got someone like Derby in the draw. The league is fair as every team plays the others twice, playing some 3 would just be unfair.

And thats not to mention the implications on players for playing 10 more FAR travelling games, or the implications if one of these games turned out to be an Everton vs Liverpool for example.

It's all about brand awareness unfortunately, i don't like the way football's going just now everyone is trying to break into revenue rich markets like Asia and buying players for the sake of their name. Wasn't like that in my day :o

Have they considered cost implications to their fans?

Stupid idea IMO

ENGLISH Premier League, not WORLDWIDE... it's nothing but a money making exercise and there is already enough money in Premier League football.
