I thought he was going to, but seems Dudek will be on his way now, probably in an exchange for Kuyt.

We shall see, big gamble defo but he might settle down with us, rafa has got soo much admiration and respect from his players, they all believe in him and every decision he makes, so if pennant gets into that frame of mind he might do well.

I would break his prison issued leg bracelet off in a bad tackle and then ship it to Nairobi.

Get him in the shoot

I would go with your latter point

That said, if you can get him playign like he did againsty Soton on his full match debut (hattY!) then quids in but I can't see it myself!

different circumstances now though. He was younger and stupid then (may well still be!) but has been inside now and should realise its his last chance, so if that cant change him, then nothing will.

once a cnut, always a cnut in my opinion.

£5 says Pennant will -

a) wrap a nice car round a tree/lampost
b) try to beat up one of his teammates
c) rape a young model (who will always rename nameless) in a nice London Hotel
d) Not turn up to a drug's test because he was 'washing his hair' or some other ghey reason.

in the next year.

Dunno why people rate him to be fair. Average player at best.

I think Pennant is a good signing personally, he knows (like Bellamy) this is probably his last chance to prove himself at a top club so doubt he'll fuck it up. Plus if anyone can keep players like that in check its Rafa, Gerrard and Carra!

Scott Carson is a great keeper, will be our no2 next season and probably start to push Reina even more whcih can only be good. And Paul Anderson was wanted by a load of clubs when he was at Hull (Arsenal, Chelsea, etc.) so getting him down on a long term contract seems a good idea.

Pennant could be a good signing, if he steers clear of trouble

Now all we need is for kewell to stay away for more than 5 mins on the pitch.....

You might be right, got some good influences but I worry a little cos' bellamy needs this attention also and fowler has been known to be a bad lad in the past (think he's ok now though)

Our youth squad is quality

I was having a kick about with mates little bro on sunday who plays for them he looks really good :) he's also best mates with the young lad who scored on saturday :)

I like the way he's building his squad,

once under the righ guidance Pennant can be a super star especially when gerrard/alonso can wing passes his way!

I also think he will work more and learn from the likes of Gerrard.

Not heard of the green or the young fella, but youth is always good in a squad!

Pennat, not sure see how he goes :)

Sooo hope we get vila, don't want kuyt (although not seen much of him bar world cup).

- We'll complete the signing of Pennant for £6.2mil today

- Scott Carson has just signed a new 5yr deal with us

- Paul Anderson, the 18yr old we signed from Hull in Jan, has signed a new 4yr deal with us

- We'll complete the signing of highly rated forward, 20yr Old Greek Lazaros Christodoulopoulos from PAOK Salonika for £130k

Looks like Rafa is getting some good deals sorted out, and expect one more big name to come in, probably a forward like Kuyt or Villa.
