I agree Robbo, give Becks 65 minutes, I agree he can create goals but if he's playing shit and creating fcuk all get him off with time to spare

Neville Rio Terry A Cole

Beckham Gerrard Lampard J Cole

Owen Rooney

Thats all you need to know, thats all they know... JC is great but Neville is a better right back, simple as... he has the attacking play and Becks missed his overlaps against T&T

Gerrard and Lampard are individually capable of brilliance (a la the 2nd goal against T&T) and need to be on the pitch, Owen on his day is an amazing striker

We cannot wion the WC without Beckham... he simply creates too many of our goals... however, that doesn't mean he has to play 90 minutes week in week out and thats Sven's problem re. Becks!

IMO :look:

I agree with your team...however a fully fit Michael Owen would obviously come in for Crouch. On recent form though you would have to stick with Crouch...

Beckham has been terrible apart from a cross here and there..it amazes me that Sven sticks by him...Lennon did more in the 30 mins or so he was on than Beckham did all game (bar the cross). Those people who have picked Beckham to play centre midfield have to be messing?? He is shite at CM.

I would even contemplate dropping Fat Frank after his woeful display against T+T...

i reckon that formation would work. but i can not see sven doing it. he will do the same old thing start with owen and crouch.. and the same old tatics. long ball after long ball.

I agree, but if Gerrard plays there who does the defensive work? There is no way Tart Lampard will get back and get stuck in.

I personally think Carra is a better centre back than Rio, but if he has to go right back then Rio to fill in. Carrick at the holding position will give Gerrard the chance to play forward, and will also allow Lampard / Cole to go forward like they do anyway. Gerrard is a world class player in the holding position, but HAS to be allowed to play as he does for Liverpool as is one of the best players in the world when he does. I also think that between Cole, Lampard and Gerrard we can take set pieces as well as Beckham anyway. Crouch as he is on form as is a different kind of player to Rooney and Owen. He also offers an airial threat that no one else can. Rooney is an obvious choice as can change a game in an instant.
