I'm not saying that's what it is but that would be my guess. Is it a sigma 70-300? Looking online you can get them brand spankers for about £100 so a second hand faulty one probably isn't worth a lot unfortunately, could always try it on eBay as spares as someone might want to try and fix it.

Have you got any camera shops local that can have a proper look?

I didn't watch it with sound first time round :lol: sounds like the motor isn't quite catching a cog somewhere but who knows. I take it any other lenses work? Might be worth looking for another unfortunately, the cost of a fix is likely to be more than a new one!
