I went for a nikon cool pix 3000 in the end


Was the most compact and easy to use. Plus I got a deal in comet on it :cool:

I love my Pentax T20 as a little camera.

Bit old now though.

The pentax things are really compact though!

Pentax Optio S was awesome! Used to fit inside a fag packet.

I was looking at the nikon coolpic s3000 ones and they looked alright. Nice and thin too

Yer withstanding abuse is handy too. I remember when I used to skateboard my old sony mini dv camcorda used to take a battering :lol:

I bought a Nikon S210 in December 2008 for a bit under £100, I think there is a new version now but the battery still lasts forever on mine and for a camera that just gets used for the odd point-and-shoot it's ideal. One of the main reasons I bought it is it's 17mm thick and has an all-aluminium body so will fit in your pocket and it has withstood brick/concrete floors quite well :look: It has the scars to prove it :lol:

Not after anything flashy

As its only ever used in a point and click manner

Would be nice if it was nice and slim, battery lasted well and took a good quality pic


Was looking around the £100 mark, sony, nikon, samsung and panasonic all make 12mp ones at that price that all look to do the same thing.
Just wondered if there are some makes to go for and some to avoid?
