	Program mode is just Auto, it selects what it thinks is the correct aperture and shutter speed but you can change it. In Auto its locked.

	Aperture isnt the only factor that affects depth of field. Changing the aperture changes the amount of light that is allowed in after the shutter is open or something like that.

	On aperture priority make sure the aperture is turned down to the widest settings, should be about 3.5 maybe? Assuming its a bridge camera, the fujis are great. Its not crap mate you just gotta learn the ins and outs.

	If its a Fuji turn the round dial to the " A " position go into menu and select ISO 100 and invest in a tripod

	Did you take them auto and handheld? If so thats the problem, looks like it's bumped the iso up quite high and point and shoots are balls at anything resembling a high iso.
