I've got some expensive glass (probably enough for what I use), and the 5D would be handy being full frame...........

Think I'm talking myself into it.....must.....resist :|

Been photographing for small race teams and selling the images back to them, but thinking that a bigger camera = more large prints = more money :)

That said, sploshing over a grand isn't really making money

Will probably stick with what I've got, but doesn't stop my eye wandering!

I pine for a D3 but that'll never happen.

A D300 would suit me fine but you need the expensive glass to go with it or there's not much point.:)

I'm seriously tempted now and only bought my first DSLR in April :|

The 18-55 with the D60 is the new VR version which is great for low light static shots.

However if push came to shove I would spend a little more on a D80 with 18-70mm lens.

Wish i did now  :(

As mike said mate, i've got this camera, here's a few of my pics with the standard lens...

It's a little daunting to begin with, i didn't have a clue what was going on, but once you read the instruction manual, and know whats going on you can produce some decent pics :)

Its a great starter camera imo

Whittie's got that camera and I think he's got that lens too, he's took some good pics with it. I think it's supposed to be a good camera for beginners, I couldn't work it although it was the first time I'd ever touched an slr  I'm sure with a bit of a play about and a read of the instructions I'd sus it out tho

Nikon D60 with lense

I know this is the next one up from the D40, This works out to be around £50 more through Jessops.

Also what sorta of quality/uses can i do with the 18-55mm lense that comes with it?

Would it be a good starter camera? If you can find something better in your opinion please let me know as im not clued up with Digital SLR's.

Thanks alot:thumbs:
