I undertand the bit about the brush thing now, but whenever i draw lines and then colour them in whatever colour. the pen line in the middle still remains. How do i get round this?

Create a new layer, select the shape of the car and colour black.

Use paths, or in Photoshop use the polygon selection tool where you carefully click all round the edge one point at time :)

Use paths mate, then stroke over them. That way you dont have to have an uber steady hand.
