You can't normally use a camcorder as a webcam.
They use 2 totally different ways of communicating.
Does it show up in my computer when you plug it in via firewire?

Are there any web sites with help on setting up a camcorder with my comp? Im trying to get my sony camcorder set up as a webcam and to get the video off of it to edit it. Sony have no clue and i dont know where to try :(
