It's no longer available though! Atleast not over here!

Yeah also worth checking out Canon Powershot stuff or Ixus, but they're more expensive. Have a play if you can and see what user interface you prefer, and also how you're going to get pics out of the cam. Quality will be comparable.

If you end up with a short list, use this - http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/sidebyside.asp

bufget for spare rechargable batteries, bigger memory card, online printing is fairly cheap these days and for doing lots not worth doing your own. Klick charge the best at mo for 7x5's.

fuji has released the finpixs 5600 which is around the £260 mark 5mp 10x zoom. there are many many camera's in that price range.

So this is a good choice then?

Anything comparable to this in the same price range?

I would be spending £200 on the cam and the rest on batteries and media, and printing photos in Jessops or online or somewhere Ross can probably recommend.

Right, my dad wants a digi cam. Nothing too special but he doesn't want a crap one.

I don't think he needs an SLR one, plus I don't think he has enough budget for one.

He said he'd be willing to pay up to £300 but seeing some change from that would be ideal. Whatever he saves goes towards a photo printer

Anyone help me out/advise me on this?
