Don't use the screen, that eats battery, and don't check your pics after you've taken them. This is called chimping and only done by photographers who are not confident in what they are doing.

Yeah i will do, also the batteries run out sooooo quick its unreal !

Never ever shows a full battery on the screen even when i put brand new ones in !

Well yeah.... they're the complete opposite setting, why would you want to select Landscape AND closeups @ the same time :p

Picture of the eye will be for red-eye

I'm not an expert, normally have the flash on auto though.

Hey guys,

I've bought a new little 10 mega pixel digital camera to take on holiday with me but i can't seem to get the pics very good.

I have loads of different options but don't know what ones to have on or off !!

Whats the mountain / flower symbol mean ? should i have the flash on auto ? what about the picture of the eye ?
