It has to get really bad in York before it floods here, especially since the flood defences were upgraded after the ones we had in 2000, which were pretty mental.

Surreal sight seen a huge Chinook helicopter on the bowling green outside the primary school, fucked up that field for a while

Good Pics!

I had to go to Honda for a service last weekend which is on the estate past Clifton Moor with the Wetherby Whaler chippy on it. We couldn't work out where the river started and stopped!

Quite lucky in Selby I think, no idea how we've not flooded yet. Sitting on the toll bridge in a traffic jam is a bit hairy though with the water a few feet away and great big logs barreling down the river  It's all a bit Dante's Peak.

I only live a few hundred yards from the river, so hoping it behaves.

On an old pub like that in a place that's probe to flooding, maybe they got wise

York Arms only has beer on tap due to floods, and I am pretty sure the cellar is actually upstairs.

Slug & Lettuce doing a roaring trade still!

That pubs cellar will be hard work to drain I bet! Must get a good few thousand gallons in there!

Don't think the Kings Arms will have it's outdoor furniture anymore!

Went there after York Races a couple of months ago, smelt like damp so we left, I now know why it smelt like that!

They reckon it peaked Thursday night IIRC and we didn't have much rain so it should have. Avoided town like the plague.

 Surprised it hasnt come over here in Sebs tbh, its very high though. Most the buildings down by the river wont be too badly damaged, none of them bother with carpets as it always floods, wonder how high the water has reached on the scale inside the Kings Arms
