Thanks guys, the best advice I can give is just experiment...and shoot in RAW because you have a lot more adjustment available in post processing :)

I used the bracketed exposure on my camera. It takes 3 different photos in one burst then I used a piece of software called photomatix to merge them

Have you done that with layering dual pictures, or on the HDR setting within the camera?

It is on a mentally steep incline tbh  It was basically a tiny flight of steps up the side of the fence onto a concrete platform when my parents moved in 5 years ago. Me and my Dad built the decking 3 years ago and took it as high up as we could to take full advantage of the view and then a professional landscaper came and dug a path out of the rock and redid the surrounding area. Its looking lovely this summer now the plants have started to fill out etc

Not a chance in hell you could play football in the front or rear garden but luckily me and my bro had long outgrow kick abouts in the garden before we moved here. Local astroturf now for a kick about :(

oh my. that's stunning. that garden is on a mental incline, thought the house in the first pic was someone elses at first  i imagine playing football is a no go but it's worth it just to have that view every evening.

This is what I dislike about living on the east coast. I have to be up at sunrise to catch a sky like this.

Nice pics.

Thanks guys, on a blown up version of the second one you can see the Isle of Man which is a real rarity from up here!

I've moved back home from Swansea back to North Wales last week and this has to be the thing I have missed the most! Last nights sunset.

400D, bracketed exposure mode then used Photomatix to tone map. Really pleased with these ones :)
