For some reason the pics seemed to be getting higher and higher the firther I turned :|

Yeah I did one at PVS, just stood on the hill and spun around. Helps if you have a fairly fast camera and don't need to hang around for too long as it takes them.

Then took a while in PSP stiching it.

What is the best technique to use for this? I think Ian did one as well at one of the meets iirc? Do you just stand with your feet planted and try and keep it at the same height?

Yeah you can see the stich diagonally through the sky.

on my friends camera you can take pics then take another then another and merge them together, you can do like 360 pics

extreme wide angle and stiched probably. you can see the distortion
